Hello, I have an external drive that has been suplied to me with data on it. When I connect it to my machine it asks if I want to format the drive. I think the external drive has been formatted in 64-bit but I only have 32-bit XP. Is there anything I can do to be able to read the drive?

Have you tried saying no to the format and opening up My Computer, you should see it listed there with a drive letter, if not then its not being read by the OS, which means you have other problems somewhere.
