Budget psu

hi there i was wondering if anyone could recomend a budget 550w-650w psu as all the reviews i can find only bother with the best brands like antec and corsair and i was looking to spend quite a bit less than that ,but do not want to damage any components or cause instability...
any ideas please

When it comes to PSU chioces you really dont want a "cheap" one, what kind of budget are you working in, so I can give you the right advice?

You're probably better off with good 450W PSU than a 'budget' 600W PSU.
What are you actually trying to power?

Do you really need 550-600W?
Because it terms of PSUs in the UK, if you go at that power range you might as well just get a corsair 650W TX

since the price difference between other decent PSUs tends to be very minimal.

On the other hand, if you need something on the range of 450-500W then there is the corsair VX (450W) or the OCZ stealth Xtream (500W) around the £50 mark (the OCZ one being cheaper by £5).

The 400CX puts out more power then alot of cheap 550watt units and depending on what your system is will probably be plenty of power for you.
