Motherboard or other problem?

Hey all,

I've been having some trouble with my new system..which was running great a few days ago.

Basically, the system will no longer recognize my hard drive. It just says please insert system disc. Before, the quick fix for this was to change the SATA port in which I plugged the hard drive into, but now that won't even work. I even tried booting with my IDE with no luck, and another SATA and it still wasn't working.

Anyways, I'm trying to figure out if this is a Motherboard problem or (maybe a PSU issue??). I might try using another power supply I have, and if that doesn't work I'll let you know.

PSU is not completely out of the question ...

What does setup say?? Proper autosense ?

Casualty swapping ... you know the drill ... take notes ... swap drive .. test ... log ...
.... swap data/power cables (in turn) .. test .. log .. etc.

swap "known good" components.

Swap power harness ... use the "other half" of the power harness.

DVDR is SATA ??? Working ??

I would suspect the mobo last ... but it is your rig and you've been dealing with it. ... so ...
