Hi guys, I am looking to buy a Mainboard it says the memory is DDR3 and supports DDR3 2200+/1333/1066/800 MHz Does this mean that my DDR3 1600 memory will not work but only at 1333 and not 1600?
No... it will work just fine on the board. The manufacturer (or site) just doesn't list everything inbetween 1333 and 2200. If you check the Memory QVL, you'll see that DDR3 1600 is listed as supported memory.
It is a GIGABYTE GA-EP45T-USB3P but we all know that by looking at a QVL there is always much more memory modules that end up working good that are not on the list. I have patriot 7-7-7-20 ddr3 PVS34G1600LLK 4 sticks of 2gigs each that I will be using. I have always had good luck with ram not on the QVL's
