This morning Windows has some updates ready so I installed them along with the optional updates on of which was for the video card (a GT 220) ever since the install I keep getting the Kernal mode driver failure and restart problem. I tried to go to an earler restore (pre-update) but for some reason it keeps the new drivers, I googled and found an older driver but it gives me the incompadablity error. Anybody here have some advice?

I am running a Acer Aspire desktop (all stock no changes) it game with the GT 220 already in it and Windows 7.

Thanks

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

Start in safe mode, or VGA mode. Go to the divices manager, GPU and select roll back to the previous driver.

Didn't work, I couldn't find the roll back to previous driver button. I tried to install a bunch of different drivers in safe mode though, it seems to be doing better so far. Never mind it just did it again.
