Mouse is to sensitive to touch

I have a Dell computer purchases less than one year ago. The mouse that came with the computer is so sensitive to the touch that I have lost screen work by accidently touching the right button This problem has been made worse by the fact that I have numbness in my fingers and can right click inadvertently.
Is there any adjustment I can make to make the mouse buttons less sensitive to the touch?

Check mouse settings in control panel. Try a different mouse.
