ATA storage?

So I updated the driver for a so called ATA storage "device"! doing so made my computer mad! as a matter of fact it made the comp. not boot at all, not even to safe mode! Is there a way to bypass this or am I just stuck with a blue screen without reloading windows?

Boot from windows cd and repair the OS
