Problems with playing games in SD on and HDTV

Hi, I use a Dazzle capture card to record my PS3 games. At the moment I use a Vizio HDTV connected to my PS3 with RCA cables. I don't mind playing in standard definition so I am able to record, but I get an awful input lag which makes playing shooting games extremely difficult. Are there any workarounds to this? It's only when I play on my HDTV, a regular TV is fine.

If you have a 120Hz or 240Hz HDTV set it to operate at 60Hz. Anything above 60Hz induces input lag because the HDTV is creating interpolated frames from the source. Interpolated frame takes a little bit of time to create then insert after every actual frame.

Also, HDTVs have some inherent input lag similar to LCD monitors which cannot be decreased or removed by you the user.

Regular CRT TVs generally do not have input lag issues.
