I just built a new system its has a Phenom X2 555BE overclocked to 3.6ghz and 4gbs of ram and a 23inch 1920X1080 monitor. At first I installed a EVGA 250 GTS 512mb video card http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?Sku=E145-2250. It performed ok and got around 38fps average on company of heroes with most of the settings maxed out. I decided that I wanted a little more performance so I decided to go to an XFX HD 5770 1gb video card. After installing it and updated to new drivers I ran a performance test in COH again with the 5770 and now on the same settings Im only getting around 33FPS with the 5770 anyone have any Idea why?

I also ran this test http://www.majorgeeks.com/Video_Card_Stability_Test_d5404.html the 250gts was getting around 600FPS the 5770 is getting around 300FPS I dont understand why the 250 gts is scoring higher.

It's that 128-bit bus cuz.
You can't be too fast on a slow bitpath
if they only would've done the right thing and double it to 256-bit then well, the GTS 250 would've been left on the roadside in a pile of dust..
but that just ain't the case.
It's really a letdown for me sort of because I was interested in the 5770 until I found that small limitation in its Vegas show of trump cards.

Wrong. Know the difference between GDDR3 and GDDR5.

Yep. It was a driver issue after all. =)

Bluescreendeath, I commend you, Sir.

You have guided yet another troubled Soul way from the Pit of Software Malfunction, to the Gates of Gaming Heaven.

Well done.
