Keyboard startup issues

Hi, I have a gigabyte ud3r x58a, revision 2, and 9 times out of 10 my motherboard doesn't power up my usb keyboard, or ps2 keyboard when attached. So most times I cannot load into BIOS, access my post screen or anything. The times that I am allowed to, when i am in the menu of the BIOS the keyboard blinks on and off. What could be causing this?

I also forgot to mention that POST takes 3-4 minutes to complete sometimes, and it used to blow right through POST. Nothing was changed except a couple of case fans were added. Booting OS from a SSD.
