How much RAM does each version of WinXP Pro support?

Hello! I am building a gaming PC and I am planning on running 8GB of RAM on it. I am getting hooked up of a copy of XP pro but I don't know if its 64x or 32x. How much does each version support?

You do not, I mean DO NOT, want to use XP 64-bit unless you purchase a used PC with it already installed. XP-64-bit has very poor driver and software support.

If you want to use more than 4GB of RAM then just go for Windows 7 64-bit.
