ATI Radeon 9250 PCI

I have an old P4 Compaq Evo D5S/P1.7 Small Form Factor desktop that I am trying to turn into an HTPC. I have XP SP2 installed using an ATI Radeon 9250 256MB PCI video card. The video card is connected to my CRT tv with an S-Video cable (800x600 at 60Hz). Trouble is, the display scrolls continuously at warp speed. I'm pretty sure the drivers are the right ones, so I am at a loss. Anyone have any thoughts?

Try going into the CCC and checking the support for TV. You may have to tell the graphics card to switch to a TV mode or smth.

Been a while since I've tried using S-Video myself. Anyway, a CRT TV isn't going to do 800x600. Set it to 480i, which is 640x480.

yeah, 800x600 is too high for a TV
