Hi,
A co-lo I want to use will give me a huge price break if my system is under 2amps. I'd like to use an AMD Phenom II X4 processor. If I get high efficiency power suppy and fans, can I get system to run idle under 2 amps?

watts/volts=amps

amps x volts=watts

How many volts would you expect a machine with a Intel Core i5-750 anda single hard drive use excluding the screen?

volts depend on the wall socket

like say 90watts / 110v is like 0.8 amps

but 90 watts / 220 v is 2.4 amps

Volts can always be assumed to be about 115 volts. If you're in europe, 220 volts. But it doesn't change.

Lol, on second thought, you should be in europe because then you'll have 440 watts to work with instead of 230 watts.

Looks like the Nvidea fermi is out of the question. Seriously though it really depends on the voltage of your mains 110 to 220 volt is double the wattage (which is the critical measurement)
