Hey guys,

Recently I built a new rig with the following specs.

core i7 930 no OC
asus p6t
HIS 5850 latest Catalyst
6G DDR3
Antec TP 750W
One intake fan, one exhaust fan

I've played ME2 and some Battlefield BC2 on it for hours straight without a problem for about a month.

However, about 1 week ago, the Battlefield would freeze after 1 hour of gaming, and this interval has been getting steadily worse.

CPU idles at 33-35C, but just opening up the game it reaches 52-53C. I suspect the system shutsdown automatically once it reaches 60C.

Any ideas as to the worsening and the cause?. My CPU is running a stock HSF.

Doesn't seem like CPU over heating. CPU should not shut down at 60 degrees. It's actually quite normal to get temp to 52-53 or even 60 when running games.

What RAM and RAM settings are you using? I suspect it's the RAM.

Update:

Ran memtest - results all ok

Did some trawling of the EA forums - its seems to be a software side error with the game. A clash of Realtek HD audio and the game.
