Acer mcp73 motherboard replacement

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if this motherboard would be an ideal replacement for an Acer MCP73 motherboard.

Asus P5G41C-M LX Intel G41 775 Motherboard

The board should fit your acer chasis, but it has only 2 ddr2 slots if that's all you need. The other 2 ram slots are for ddr3. Also, you may need a new windows coa if you are still using the operating system that came with your acer. On most oem systems, the windows installation only works with the original motherboard. The original board has an nvidia chipset; the g41 is an Intel chipset.

Thanks for your help, i take it there is no way round the windows coa !
Do you know any other boards that might allow me to get round the coa.
is there a lot of difference between the nvidia chipset and he intel one

Either chipset will run fine. It's a question of whether you need 4 identical ram slots. Check craigslist for unused windows copies. You may save some money.
