This new Tom's hardware really screwed w/ my mind.

I'm really not interested in doing a ram disk. Primarily play company of heroes and BFBC2. Think coh maxes out at about 3.2gb during 4vs 4. So, do I need more than 4gb for gaming? Been looking around for some ram , but a lil pricey for ddr-2

Currently use,
windows 7 64-bit
8800gt 512mb sli
1680x1050

I agree with jsc... There is no real benefit with more than 4GB in gaming. Only one game showed an improvement and that was with Mod installed.

4gb of ram would be fine. Although for optimal performance and if you want to record as you play i would suggest 8gb of ram.

Running DDR2 would guess an older socket 775 rig, so think I'd suggest putting the money away towrads a system upgrade, mobo, CPU and DRAM
