SSD upgrade for Dell Inspiron 1564

Hey, I want to swap out an existing hard drive in my Dell Inspirion 1564 for a SSD drive from crucial. I have two questions:

1. If the form factor and everything else matches up, it should work, right?

2. If I buy a new copy of windows to install on the new hard drive, will I have any issues? I've heard of people doing hard drive swaps and then not being able to run their copy of windows because its tied to the original hardware. I plan on running windows 7, by the way.

Yes it should work fine. You shouldn't need to buy a new copy of windows, unless you just want to upgrade to "Ultimate" or something.

I was just wondering cause the interface on the mono is SATA-300, but the drive I want to install is ATA-600(both Serial ATA, obviously). Thanks for the help
