Voltage mess up

When overclocking my cpu to 4.7ghz I have to set my core voltage to 1.49 in bios but above it it reads voltage 1.44 this is same for cpuz.Whats the deal??
cpu i7 3960x
mobo: asrock extreme 11

Yeah, if it's running at the expected clocks with lower than expected voltage, that's a GOOD thing.

My motherboard has a dynamic voltage for the CPU. Its makes the CPU use less voltage on idle, play a game and the voltage will probably go up. Maybe your motherboard does this too?
