Power brick power indicator shows Green, on. Laptop powers up on battery. However, the battery doesn't charge and there's no power indicator lit on the systems control panel. The service manual doesn't mention an internal fuse. ANY HINTS?

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

Like I see exist three possibilities for ur problem:

1- The battery is coming to the end of his life.
2- The charger is dead.
3- Both battery and charger are the problem.

How to know what it's?, if u can test with another charger.

We swapped batteries, swapped Power Supplies in combination.
Have a feeling its the Mainboard, actually, STRONG feeling it's the mainboard.

The mobo doesn't have anything to do with the charge of the battery. Or is the battery, or is the charger or are both.

not neccessarily the mobo, but there is some internal circuitry in the lapotp, sometimes its its one board, sometimes its part of the motherboard, that controls such matters.
