Hi Folks,

Got a really old Dell Laptop that I am trying to get going to give to some township kid as an introduction to computing.

It was running merrily on XP but suddenly it wont complete the boot. Get to the XP logo with the moving bar underneath and then it just stops.

It starts and runs perfectly in Safe Mode.

Grateful for any advice.

Thank you.

I am afraid I cannot get CCEnhancer to initialise. I have extracted it with 7-zip and the standard extractor but with the same results.

Don't know how but the machine has also started a new trick - It gets through the DELL Bios bit but immediately the XP logo appears it reboots. Then with a choice of Safe Mode etc, no matter what one chooses, it repeats the cycle. :-(
