X58 and P55 chip question

Hi,

I'm maybe going to build myself a new pc, and i'm probably going to buy an i7 950, but i was wondering which motherboard to get, i heard that S-1156 can support the i7 aswell? I checked the prices and they were different. But whats the different between the cheaper S-1156 motherboards and the more expensive S-1366 motherboards, using an i7 CPU?

The socket 1156 boards do Not support the i7 9xx CPUs. The 1156 boards support i7 8xx, as well as i5 and i3, processors. The socket 1366 boards support only the i7 9xx CPUs.
