I'm not sure which specific model in that series you are looking at, but I searched everywhere to see if the series itself supported PCIe 2.0 but every site simply listed PCIe 16x and no body explicitly said 2.0.

Looking on newegg, I found this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Several of the reviews state that it does not have 2.0 support when it claims it does online. One reviewer said it was nowhere listed in the manual or on the box when he received it. However, there are both people who say it is supported and say that it is not supported, but it is likely the people that do say it is supported are simply going by what they found online and not by checking the physical product. More people (in the many reviews I looked at) said that it does NOT support 2.0 than those that say it does.

Due to the lack of information I can find on supporting specifically PCIe 2.0, I would probably say that it does not support it, but I could be wrong.

Im going to agree with you. Did some more digging and couldn't find anything about it being 2.0 where as the P43 chipset specifically states it is 2.0 if doing a comparison on Gigabytes website between the 2 boards. Found some local Online stores claiming it is 2.0 but ill have to inform them that all there Gigabyte G41 chipset specifications are wrong.
