Your HP Pavilion p6367c-b has a decent quad core Q8300 2.5Ghz CPU.
It has NO gaming card that I can see. Only the GMA X4500 built into the motherboard, correct?
If you want to get something nearly as good at gaming, or better at gaming, than the Dell Studio XPS you'll need to replace the 300W PSU with one that can support a better video card.
You don't need a super powerful PSU. Just one with enough power for the new video card and the rest of your computer.
The I7 in that computer you listed is superior to the Q8300 in your computer, but if you get a better video card you'll have similar performance in games. Applications a Q8300 isn't going to touch an I7 in performance.
