Hello,

I was wondering if the Radeon 5770 would work with my Antec Earthwatts 500 PSU. I know it has more than enough watts, but, I was wondering about the amps on the 12v rails.

PSU:

GPU:

Thank you very much!

Easily, but hmm its not bronze cert, i thought all EW were.

Not exactly sure what Bronze cert is, I am assuming something to do with the PSU's efficiency?

Even a decent 400watt PSU will be able to run a 5770. Antec's EW 500watt PSU would definitely be able to run it fine.

Ok, thanks. I was just worried since I was told the max the EA500's 12v rails only had a max of 34amps and that the 5770 required 40 amps.

Yeah the Antec is more than enough.

It's been a while since I looked at the "medal standard", but I believe it is approximately as follows:

80 Plus = Minimum 80% efficiency
80 Plus Bronze = Minimum 82% efficiency
80 Plus Silver = Minimum 85% efficiency
80 Plus Gold = Minimum 89% efficiency
