I'm using Zonealarm, and after some research I've decided it's probably the cause of some bittorrent problems I've had lately, so I want to replace it. Does anyone have any (free) firewall program suggestions? I've heard of one called 'Kerio' - that any good?

Alteratively, I could just get a router and have it all done in hardware. I would need a combined Modem/Router for ADSL (not cable), so I need a router which accepts the RJ11 plug coming from the splitter (most I've seen just accept an RJ45 network cable from a cable modem) - any suggestions?

I have 2 pcs in the house (1 desktop, 1 laptop), and at the moment the laptop shares the net connection using a proxy server. The actual connection is currently a USB ADSL modem on the desktop. home network is using a linkSys Hub, so I don't need a router with a built-in hub/switch, although that would be nice & neat.

D-Link DI-604 4-port hardware firewall/router can be bought for less than $40.
I got it for $40, less a $20 rebate, and I love it...
