Would my cpu bottleneck my gpu?

Hi just wanted to ask if my amd athlon ii x4 640 3.0ghz overclocked to 3.6ghz bottleneck my saphira HD7850 over clocked edition? if so by how much? :D

Possibly... but if so, not by much at all.

At 3.6Ghz its not bad for gaming. The hd7850 should perform exactly like it should... or close to it.

no, it should be fine. if you want to test drop your video setings down as low as they can go and if your frames go up your gpu bottle necked, if not, your cpu bottle necked.

Seems fine I went back to factory clock which is 3.0ghz as I only really use this pc for bf3 and lol and it runs perfect, just gonna save up for the 8350 cpu ;)

Oh and you might also have to save up for a mobo for that 8350, unless your current mobo is AM3+
!
