ASUS Crosshair IV Formula is the best of the AM3 motherboards, so if that is in your price range, you can't go wrong with it (specially if going dual cards down the road).

I'm not sure where you are getting AM3 and AM3+ATI reference from. Are you referring to AM3 boards that support SLI versus AM3 boards that support Crossfire. Remember, AMD owns ATI so they are the same :D .

The best price board for performance & features is the ASRock 870 Extreme3, which is a board I recommend a lot for that reason.

An AM3+ suggests a Bulldozer; so I/we assume AM3 socket & ATI GPU with 890FX chipset. The 965 BE is already 'unlocked' in every respect; the 'core unlocker' MOBOs is for the oddball 3-core CPUs.

However, a 'better' marriage of the 890FX is the 6-core AMD Phenom II X6; 1090T http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103849

Side-by-Side - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007625%20600007943&IsNodeId=1&srchInDesc=890FX&page=1&bop=And&CompareItemList=22|13-131-667^13-131-667-TS,13-131-644^13-131-644-TS,13-130-274^13-130-274-TS,13-131-655^13-131-655-TS,13-157-196^13-157-196-TS

ASRock is {ASUS} and I agree with tecmo34.

1. i heard that Asrock doesnt make that Good CPUS !

3.does ASUS Crosshair IV Formula have Strong Chip named 980 ? is its chip more better than 980FX or More Slower ?

4.you didnt gave any opinion about amd 890 fx , is it that bad ? uncomparable with
ASUS Crosshair IV Formula ???

5.Ok , will i get best performance & best match with ATI card , if i get ASUS Crosshair IV Formula ?

please answer these Questions ! thanks a lot my Friends !

1. ASRock makes MOBOs and not CPUs, and they're 'budget' versions of big brother ASUS. ASUS ans ASRock are very good MOBOs. I build-off ASUS and EVGA MOBOS, but EVGA quit making AMD MOBOs.

2. AM3+ATI is 'new' to me; AMD is ATI - AMD purchased ATI - same company.

3. Yes, the ASUS Crosshair IV Formula employs the AMD 890FX Norhtbridge and AMD SB850 Southbridge. In-fact, ALL of the MOBOs listed in the Side-by-Side have both chipsets.

4. Yes, the AMD 890FX Norhtbridge is 'currently' the latest chipset; opinion currently it is the best and fastest choice. So yes it 'currently' is the best choice for both an ATI GPU and the ASUS Crosshair IV Formula as well all of the MOBOs in the Side-by-Side.

5. The 'Best' is the AMD MOBO is the ASUS Crosshair IV Extreme.

GPU performance is a combination of GPU, CPU, RAM and Architecture {e.g. 890FX chipset}.

Between the Asus CrosshairIV and the MSI 890FXA-GD70. What does Asus do better that this is recommended? I read that the Crosshair IV does not support crossfirex?
