Media device not found audio driver

i have format my laptop & installed win xp. When i am installing the audio driver (downloaded from dell website for xp), the message displays that driver installation fails, media device not found...please suggest and provide me a solution for this...

it common with audio driver for laptops that has xp sp3 .., you need to download Microsoft UAA driver..(its long time i faced such issue, so forgot it. after installing you may need to change xp sp3 to xp xp2 in registry )
plz provide your laptop make & model, then it will easy to solve
