More about uninstall 6800 drivers
  1. There is usually the add/remove programs menu, or the device manager uninstall option, but some other members of the forum recommend a specific program I can't recall to delete the drivers so it won't screw with ATI Catalyst one.
  2. I use Revo Uninstaller
it works great for drivers, and program
it scans after it runs the uninstaller to make its all gone

  3. ok, so how should i go about doing this?

uninstall drivers first than replace or replace first than uninstall?

this is the first time i had to replace a video card without the need of reinstalling windows, as most the times a video card upgrade was ever necessary, windows was also on the verge of dieing or already dead.
  4. uninstall the old drivers,
then restart pc w/ new card in it.
Then install newest drivers from the ATI website
  5. thanks.
  6. np
    hope everything works out well
