Pcie 16x v1.0 vs pcie 16x v2.0

Hello, just wondering does any Graphics card today exceed the pcie 16x v1.0 bandwidth yet as in bottle necking the Graphics card? like a Ati HD 3000/4000/5000 series?...........say you run 3Dmark06 with a HD5870 on a pcie v1.0 and get 20,000 points....then run the test agin but this time use pcie v2.0, Would it score any higher??

pcie x16 v1.0 is the same bandwidth as pcie x8 v2.0, which gives maybe a 2% performance loss (not noticeable/within margin of error) for the 5870

however, as you scale up into more demanding cards, and especially when it's a more demanding game, the pci-e 2.0 will transfer the needed data from the mobo to the card much faster than pci-e 1.0

i do agree with mindless728 about how small of a drop you will detect
