hi guys,

I posted about this the other day..

My current rig is a core i7 950
12 gig ram
1 tb 7200 rpm drive
eyefinity
asus pt6 deluxe v2 board..

I just upgraded from 2 4870x2 to a 5970..

im hearing that there is a 5990 to be released..overlocked 5970 with added memory..

for the ultimate gaming performance is it better to get 2 5970's? to wait and get 2 5990's?

money is no real object..

I know the 5990 has yet to be released..

If money is no object I suggest you to wait at least until 26 March when Fermi appears and soon the ATI response will come. Also if money is no object I would put buy some SSDs :p  for the best loading times ever :D

Sounds like you have lots of money just floating around... got any to spare?

Since you have an Eyefinity setup and you want the best performance possible, then I would wait for the HD 5990 to come out.
