Best mobo for amd 1090t under $150

i'd like input from you guys...

the board must have usb 3.0 and sata 3...
on board video is a plus but not necessary, i have no problem slapping a 30-$40 vid card in it since its not for gaming....its gonna be for audio production

so far i have my eyes on the GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H AM3 AMD 890GX

i'd be greatful for some ram recommendations also :)

thanks in advance

  1. A discrete video card will roll out s smoother experience.. For your needs, I'll recommend going for the Asrock 870A Extreme3 along with a cheap video card.. Something like a GT 240 will be plenty..
  2. thanx emperus but i looked at it on newegg and noticed it didnt have to many reviews and it has been out for quite a while even thought that can mean nothing...

what makes you say that board would be optimal for my needs? is that a board audio enthusiasts go for?

and im not to familiar with asrock but i see quite a few people recommending them....seems as if theyre the new kid on the block providing what people need with good support as far as keeping up with their bios updates...am i somewhere in the ballpark with that assumption?

    what about this 1

  3. Both are crossfire mobos and you don't need that.

    good timings, standard voltage.
You can try the onboard video first, if not happy get a dedicated video card.

i like this board...i like the price even more lol....only thing i dont like is no onboard usb 3.0 for front usb 3.0 access, but a hub should take care of that! i just hope it works with the 1090t right out the box...

i hope this case will suit it nicely

as a matter of fact i think im gonna order the case and mobo today...free shipping on the case for right now so that -$20 will suit me nicely since im on a tight budget

  6. it saddens me that the asrock mobo's dont have the pretty pics in the overview tab on newegg :(

but the ASRock 890GX EXTREME4 u mention seems to call out to me...im googling to find out if its a recent board...only 2 stores have it and theres only 2 reviews on newegg

would this ram be good for the board? i see i'd have to oc or something...is that difficult?

    G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory

  7. Since you want USB3.0 and onboard headers for USB3.0 I would also suggest this one

since its only $25 more than the $109 GIGABYTE board you liked that's the price of a USB3 card or a hub.

    Also since you said

is it safe to assume that you already have a good sound card? Or would you like some recommendations?
  8. yea no need for sound card...i have an "audio interface" which is just a fancy way of saying really expensive soundcard lol....damn it its sold out!!! it should be back by the time im ready to order though

omfg!!!!!! the free shipping offer on the case i was gonna order is gone!!!!! damn u newegg!!! i was just gonna put the money in the bank and order it...oh well maybe ill get a different case or just wait and see
