GTX 260 216SP Max overclock ?

I have a Core 216 and can only get it to 658/1418/1054 as my max stable overclock, Everywhere I go I see people reach 700 on the core clock as their max but I cant even come close. What am I doing wrong ? I test it using Furmark stability test with 16X AA, 1080p on full screen for 1 hour.

Those who usually have such clocks are usually only stable in 2D or have Vmods and the last are only fakers. So you may get higher clocks through better cooling by keeping the gpu below 70c as much as possible. Also having the voltage on the 12v line at or slightly higher than 12v. So by the way what is your psu?

That is a good psu so power isn't holding you back so how are your temps typically? The fill rates with the G80 and GT200 are good so try to unlink the core and shader clocks and lets try 600 core and go for 1.5ghz on the shader. Typically nvidia gpus typically max out around 1.8-2ghz on the shader.
