My con tac ts are receiving emails from my address at sbcglobal.net.. That is not my address as I am a gmail cust ome r

I would change your sbcglobal.net email password, right away (in case it's actually someone else sending those emails [that hijacked your email account {then you will have successfully un-hijacked it by resetting the password}]).
 
That would depend on the way it was hijacked. A huge number of computers are infected to the point where they act as agents for others. His computer could be sending those emails - and if that is the case simply changing the password may not help.
