DDR 3 Speed Conflict?

I have another post in this forum about my bios not allowing me to change frequencies for the clocks and only being able to reset the ratio from 5.5 to 13.5. It is currently set to auto for my E5400 2.7GHz 800MHz FSB. As I have never really done this I don't know what ratio to set it to. Any help here would be very helpful. Secondly I have 6 gigs of ddr3 800MHz. Is getting faster memory a waste in my case given the FSB freq., or am I just exposing my ignorance?

Depends on your motherboard. Look up the specs for it and see if it supports 1066 ram (o.c.). Personally, I wouldn't waste money on so called premium ram. The performance increase is minimal for the $$ spent.
