Ati 5450 no sound

Hello,

I bought 5450 for htpc setup. Hook it up to tv via hdmi. I have nice picture , but no sound from tv. I believe hdmi carries both sound and picture. But , i got only picture. can you tell me what i am missing.

I am using this card.

That's really weird but you're right, there should be Dolby sound. Did you you download the entire graphics package for your graphics card?

Go to device manager, is the HDMI sound under sound devices enabled. Otherwise go to control panel and find a list of active sound devices, does ATI's even show up?

you need to go to
control panel,
sound and audio devices

click on audio tab

change sound playback default device to
"ATI HD Audio rear output"

=D

close your media player, etc that is using the audio before doing so... =D
then test after making above settings xD
