He also want upgrade his non branded PSU to Corsair VX450W or something like that.

His rest of the spec ATM:

320GB WD Blue HDD
22" LCD@1920x1080

The 450 is a little low in my opinion, the CPU will be a bottleneck and I don't know how the E2180 is too effective. Anway I would recommend a 5770, but it will push your PSU a little. It is mid range so most games should be able to play at medium to medium high settings.

Then,how about GTS250 or HD5750 with Corsair VX550W ?

If you feel like maxing that PSU, skip both and go for 5830 or 50.

If your friend can Overclock that CPU(Its a very good chip for OC) then tell him to get a HD5770
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Otherwise tell him to get a HD4850 for $95(This is a very good card for awesome price).

A 450VX will run all these cards without a sweat.
450VX isn't too low for these cards.
Go for it wit your eyes closed. :)

Telling budget is useless cos we live in a different country.
But he got enough budget for HD5770 and VX550W.

Nope,he is unable to overclock.
He is worried about CPU,if that will be a bottleneck.

If prices are same then which is better HD4850 or GTS250 ?
HD5750 and HD5770 are costly compared to above cards.

Price as follows:
HD4850 Rs.6500/-
GTS250 Rs.6500/-
HD5750 Rs.8500/-
HD5770 Rs.10500/-

VX450W Rs.4500/-
VX550W Rs.6000/-

Get the 4850, it is one of ATI's previous generation top dog. The 250 is actually Nvidia's old G92 core though powerful is dated to the old 8800GTs. Now it's a mid-range card.

His cpu will be a significant bottleneck. I don't recommend anything above a 4850 really. Even that will be slightly slowed down

+1, I'm just here to answer his question. As for mobo he could go as far as Q9550 if he wanted to. The budget is the problem there though.

The Price of Corsair you quoted is a tad higher(Ya,I know it depends on locality also). Its around Rs3700 in Nehru Place,New Delhi

Here are some good prices (If you can buy online)

http://www.primeabgb.com/index.php?page=shop.product_de...

http://www.lynx-india.com/index.php?productID=477

Get GTS250 since prices are same and it is faster than 4850(Very low difference ) and it also has Physx...

Good Luck :)

Both me and my friend don't have any experience about online shopping.
He gonna buy from local hardware vendor at Chandni,Kolkata.
The above price are not from online that's why they are high.
Do u think spending more than 1K for VX550W is good idea ?
Or VX450W is good enough for future upgrade ?

Even though I'm a delhiite, I can tell you some good shops in kolkata
(Though I don't know much about kolkata)

1. Exodus Technologies (Dunno where to find but this is the best!!)

2.Supreme Technologies Pvt. Ltd. which is located near Indian Airlines Office.

Spending 1K more is upto you/your friend.
With 550VX you have the liberty to run any high end single graphic card in the market. It will provide enough power.

I'd say get a 450VX if you don't wanna stretch your budget and you won't be buying the Highest end GPUs.
