Ok, well my problem is that I want my laptop to run at 3.4 or 3.3 GHZ, its max clock speed, but Intel got smart and decided to use some crappy power saving technology (Why is a high end processor worried about power? If you can afford the processor, you can afford that external battery.), so It wont go over 2.7 GHZ unless its at %80 usage...heres the specs... Samsung np700z5c-s02ub, with an I7 3635QM, An Nvidia GT 640M, and 8GB of ram, and an 8GB SSD for cache.

making your cpu clocked at that speed all the time may damage your cpu
beside even if it was at that speed all the time things wont run that much faster
