I recently just built a new PC

Gigabyte 990FX UD3
Corsair 8GB 2x4GB
Sapphire ATI Radeon 7770 Vapor X 1GB
AMD FX 6 core at 3.8GHZ
Corsair 300r
Corsair 750w Gold rated PSU
Corsair h80
Windows 7 64bit home edition

Ive been researching how to overclock and started to go to bios to tweak everything there but for some reason cant mess with ant cpu setting in bios. I downloaded AMD overclocking tool "overdrive" and I can OC my cpu right from desktop im trying to clock it at 4.0GHZ. I have to turn off turbo core to mess with any of the setting i bring it to 20x and that gives me 4.0GHZ.Whem i set this and go to windows and check my windows rating it decreases the amount of usable ram and brings my 1866MHZ to 1333MHZ. where am i going wrong?

Yeah it may be fine. I just seem to read a lot of post with "I oc with over drive, and my computer is messed up." Then they have to jump hoops to get it un-installed. I like to travel the safe road with the oc :)

I cant unlock my setting in my bios its under M.I.T advanced cpu setting and i cant change somethings by clicking or pressing enter I have read my manual I have switched things to auto and enabled different modes to try to change my settings but many things remained locked.. AOD has been my only chance at OC i had it at 4.1GHZ ran stability test and temps never went over 33c and the computer ran fine till i played CS:GO D3 and Skyrim and ever sense i used AOD windows says 8GB memory (3.96 Usable) is system information. Windows 7 6bit.
