Display shuts off like nothing hooked to it

Sometimes my monitor shuts off likes its not hooked to anything i dont know why just started recently anyone know anything about this issue ?

Sometimes my monitor shuts off likes its not hooked to anything i dont know why just started recently anyone know anything about this issue ?

I had that problem with a PNY 9600gt somtimes in games or on desktop both monitors would just shutdown and sometimes my system would reboot.

I never could track down the problem and eventually just tossed the card.

it just started right before i posted that i have a 9800gx2 card never had issues before now

More information would be nice, starting with your monitor, as well as your gpu. If it's a recent development, you can provide information such as: have you changed any display settings, power settings, etc?

its a hanns-g widescreen monitor the gpu is msi nvidia 9800GX2 i haven't changed anything recently at all

Could be a failing power supply. Try swapping it for a diff one see if it fixes your problem.
