"Trusted Execution Technology" ?

Any opinions on this Trusted Execution Technology thingie, how does it affect computer performance, can administrator enable/disable it for particular programs, ... ?

Is CPU feature enough or does one also has to buy MB supporting it ?
If so, where could i find list of MB's that do or don't support it ?

Thank you

TXT is a feature of some Intel processors. The mother chip set must support TXT as well as the OS and the SW.
There is a good explanation of TXT available from Intel at this link:

    Hope this helps.
