Im running a 3570k at 4.5Ghz with fixed voltage of 1.140V with a 212Evo. IBT gave me a max of 90C and i average 60-65 when playing BF3.
isnt this a bit high for 1.140volts? should i reapply thermal paste?

Thats an impossible question for anyone to answer without knowing the ambient temperature of the room the pc is in,
I would say you are a bit above average with those temps but maybe your in a hot room or you just have poor airflow through your case, is the pc clean and free of dust?

Yes if you in a room with "normal" temps that is really high. I have the Scythe Ninja 3 cpu cooler and at 4.5Ghz my temps with IBT are 82C on the hottest core MAX. ANd your all the way up to 90C. Maybe the Hyper 212 Evo really isn't that good of a cooler or maybe you need to reseat it.

Right now I'm at 4.7Ghz with average temps in IBT of 92C. And that's what your getting at 4.5Ghz. So yeah your hot.

And one more question. How in the world are you hitting 4.5Ghz with only 1.140 Vcore? It takes me 1.300 for 4.5Ghz. Play a game WHILE running IBT and then see if your really stable. That's what I do and it works for me.

i have passed IBT on the highest stress level over 5 times and its been succesfull every time and ive been playing games like crazy the past two days without issues on 1.140v.
i can even get it stable for everyday use at 1.130v but IBT gets inconsistent results and sometimes my GPU crashes when im running both youtube and a game at once. 1.135 is honeslty probarbly good enough for everyday use and the few hours i ran on it everything was good but i just wanna be safe with the 1.140

Anyways i ordered another fan for my evo for a push pull config and a 200mm fan for my side case which is empty as of now
