Overclocking the 2500k to 4.5ghz

Right now my i5 2500k is at stock speed (3.3ghz). Is it okay to jump straight from 3.3 to 4.5ghz, or would I need to take steps, like 3.3-3.8ghz, 3.8-4.2ghz, then 4.2-4.5ghz?

No, you can go right to 4.5 but you certainly don't want to do so without an aftermarket heatsink/fan like a Hyper 212 or similar.
