More about fried motherboard forgot standoffs
  1. Weird, I forgot to use stand-offs one time and it didn't fry my motherboard. Just had to place the standoffs and try to start it again and it worked fine.

And no, I don't think it would have friend anything else but you will only know once you test them.
  2. How do you know it fried your motherboard? A good PSU would have detected the shortand electronically shut itself down.

    What kind of PSU?
  3. Its a corsair tx 850w psu on a Asus m4a785g motherboard, at first i couldnt see why it fried and then i noticed i forgot the standoffs
  4. its fried becuase i can see one of the copper plated (cable?) actually on the motherboard had burnt out, hopefully to protect my components,

    Maybe this can be repaired?
