I fried my motherboard because i forgot to use standoffs, does this mean all of my other components (CPU, GPU RAM etc.) are fried as well?

Weird, I forgot to use stand-offs one time and it didn't fry my motherboard. Just had to place the standoffs and try to start it again and it worked fine.

And no, I don't think it would have friend anything else but you will only know once you test them.

How do you know it fried your motherboard? A good PSU would have detected the shortand electronically shut itself down.

What kind of PSU?

Its a corsair tx 850w psu on a Asus m4a785g motherboard, at first i couldnt see why it fried and then i noticed i forgot the standoffs

its fried becuase i can see one of the copper plated (cable?) actually on the motherboard had burnt out, hopefully to protect my components,

Maybe this can be repaired?
