I just brought a 9800GT 1GB

in most of games in 1280X1024 i get good performance but i want more

i think it might be my Processor because i have a Dual Core(E5200 2.8Ghz)

should i upgrade my processor or my Gpu

if i upgrade my processor will Phenom II 955Be be a good choice
and if i upgrade my gpu will GTS250 1GB be a good Choice

More about : upgrade

How about upgrading to an ATI 5770 and OCing the CPU?

For that resolution a single 9800 suffices, however if you mostly play RTS games or games like GTA IV,Prototype etc then getting a the Phenom II 955 would be a good option

yeah i saw the difference in prototype my pc can play cod MW 2 smoothly but it lags in GTA 4 on high setting
so i should upgrade as for the gpu i dont like the 5770 for some reason but how would a 4870 be?

GTA 4 is a crap port to the PC, the hardware you need to play it well is silly for the graphics it delivers. I would not upgrade to play just one game.

to answer your question, the 4870 offers similar performance to the 5770 but is not as power efficient or offers DX11.

I don't know the reason but although HD 5770 performs a bit lower than HD 4870 but for your resolution it isn't noticeable much, also it requires less power, runs cooler and has DX11
