Which is a better processor Inrel Core2 t5800 or a Pentium t4400

Which is a better processor? I currently have a Toshiba A305 with a Centrino Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5800. I am looking to purchase a back up laptop from Office Depot. They have a Toshiba L505-LS5021 with an Intel Pentium T4400 processor. It has 3GB memory and a 320 GB hard drive. The price is 399.99. What do you think folks?

The Core 2 Duo will dominate any of the pentium cpus. The pentium was a bit of a failure on intels part. Definetly stay with your laptop, if anything upgrade the ram or hard drive if you feel that its needed, but having better hardware specs and downgrading your cpu is a horrible idea...
