Are their any settings to change in bios to recognize new CPU?

motherboards have a specific list of supported motherboards. Each motherboard is different and you have to check with the motherboard manufacturer to see which CPU's will work. However, motherboard manufacturers often release new BIOS code which enables motherboards to use new CPU's. If you think your motherboard should detect the new CPU, it could be a simple matter of upgrading the BIOS. Check with your motherboard manufacturers web site for new BIOS updates.
