Quick Memory Upgrade Question

Hey everyone,

I'm planning to upgrade my memory from 4gb to 8gb, given that DDR3 prices are somewhat dropping and I'm hoping they continue to to drop during this holiday season . But I have a few questions regarding my upgrade.

1) As long as I get the same timings as the current 4gb I have, I should be fine right?

2) I have four slots and I'm planning to use all of it and was wondering if both of the 4gb kits will run in dual channel mode or all of them will run in single channel?

You should first try and get the same memory modules.. The Mushkin rams do have the same spec and numbers though and thus, will be compatible with your current ram modules.. All 4 together will run in dual channel mode..

I would, but they're still pretty expensive when compared to the Mushkin ram.
