Printer does not show up in Control Panel:Printers

I would like to do Print Head cleaning. To get started I was trying to get Printer Properties on the Control Panel. Could not find
this.

Normally printer maintenance such as print head alignment, nozzle cleaning is accomplished via clicking on the printer icon in the system tray, or exploring the folder for the software for the printer. I am not aware of doing maintenance by going to properties of the printer in control panel. But if your printer is installed and working properly, it should show under printers & Faxes, so you may want to repair your OS using: sfc /scannow from a system prompt, or booting with Windows CD and repair.
