What is the right ram to pick ?

am going to buy core i7 980x and maybe i will overclock but not much say maximum 3.6 or 3.7 so i wanna know how to figure the right ram (mhz,latency)

2-should i buy ocz platinum or kingston hyperx (the only two available where i live )

i would buy the Kingston ram at 1600MHz

The least expensive. Both are very good brands so it just comes down to what you can get the most of.

i would go with the ocz for their sense of overclocking. =]. why not getting corsairs instead??

ahhh i see. where you live. its weird they don't offer corsairs products. such as rams.

What specifications have both OCZ and Kingston RAM?

kingston hyperx 2 gb 1600mhz latency 8
ocz platinum 2gb 1600 mhz latency 7

sorry what i meant is the 12 gb ocz is more price than 12 gb kingston by nearly 45 $

Ohh. Go with the Kingston, the $45 IMO are expensive for the CL that the OCZ have.

1600MHz is more that enough since many of the 2000MHz are CL9 that in performance terms is the same that 1600 CL7 or 1600 CL8.

The difference between 1600 and 1800 isn't big and u won't see it in games or applications.
